This is a study of human movement. I tried to reconstruct the image in a manner close tothe one used by Eadweard James Muybridge for the Zoopraxiscope, in 1879.This study also inspired me for a motion design package, Ioan Chirila Award 2007 3rd edition. Filmed with a HDV camera (1920-1080, 25fps), slow motion was obtained from an interlace footage. A subject dressed  in white  against a black background stage. The stroboscopic effect was made in After Effects with Echo plug-in in default setup with max mode option. The result was inverted (negative image), an effect also obtained in After Effects. This image is the main source and

inspiration for

"Landscape for Toys" and

"Just another Morning"

In high-school we used to draw still life with objects painted in white; the reason was obvious:

the light, shadows and volumes of the objects were easy to see and understand.

In  the videos below I tried to apply the same technique to landscapes in order to reveal the morphology  of a  particular space. Since it was impossible to paint the entire scene, I decided to use  an infrared filter so as to cut the real color spectrum of the landscape. The result was a world of invisible light just beyond red.
